What personal data bridgebytes.io collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Draft. This policy describes what the website actually does today. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer, and it does not yet cover BridgeBytes’ wider business activities. Have it reviewed against Rwanda’s Law N° 058/2021 on the protection of personal data and privacy, and against the GDPR if you handle EU residents’ data, before launch.

What we collect

This website collects personal data in exactly two places.

Contact form

When you submit the contact form we collect your name, email address, subject and message. These are sent to our own inbox by email so we can reply. We use them for no other purpose.

When you subscribe we store your email address. We use it only to send occasional updates about BridgeBytes projects and services.

Technical data

Our web server records standard request logs, including your IP address, which are also used to rate-limit form submissions and block abuse.

What we do not do

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
We do not track you across other websites.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data.

This site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads. No other third party receives data from this site.

How long we keep it

Contact enquiries are retained for as long as the conversation is commercially relevant, and no longer than two years after the last contact. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Server logs are rotated regularly.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. To unsubscribe from the newsletter, use the link in any newsletter email or email us. We respond to requests within 30 days. Write to info@bridgebytes.io.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page.
